Tourism New Zealand hails its new approach to training travel agents as a runaway success.
A series of short videos was launched earlier this year to help travel agents sell New Zealand as a destination to their clients. By providing information about the destination in an easily accessible, bite-sized, visual format, Tourism New Zealand hopes to provide the best possible toolkit to enable agents to sell NZ like experts.
Initial feedback on the campaign showed the view rate at 40% – among the highest recorded by a Tourism New Zealand campaign in the UK.
The videos each address a key selling theme and answer questions often asked by agents. These include overcoming barriers to travel, landscape and wildlife, self-drive holidays, seasons and domestic travel in New Zealand.
At three to five minutes in length, they allow travel agents to learn about New Zealand at their leisure.
