An upscale brand within the AccorHotels Group, Mӧvenpick Hotels & Resorts has open its first resort, Kuredhivaru Maldives, in the Noonu Atoll.
The resort features 105 villas and suites, comprising 72 overwater pool villas, 30 beach pool suites and 3 beach spa pool residences. Four dining experiences are available to guests, including the Bodumas Seafood Restaurant, pool-side Latitude 5.5, and ONY Marche Restaurant and bar. Mӧvenpick’s Chocolate Hour, one of key brand signatures, will be available in the lobby daily.
“As the first Mӧvenpick property in the Maldives, the brand has been able to take a unique approach to sustainable development through the resort’s built-in solar panels, in-house water production and plant desalination to minimise its ecological impact on the environment,” said General Manager Michael Melzer.
Located on a private island that is a 45-minute flight by sea plane from the capital, next year, the resort will also be accessible in 15 minutes by speedboat from the airport on Maafaru Island, due to open in early 2019.
